Full Description

Senior Test Engineer - Manchester, UK

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to test our customer experience platform. You will design and execute both manual front-end and API test scripts; perform debugging via CLI using shell; and have the opportunity to test our in-house AI product suite. This collaborative role involves working closely with development and data science, contributing to technical discussions, shaping testing approaches, mentoring others and embedding testing best practices. Ideal for an experienced manual tester looking to expand into modern AI technologies. This role provides the opportunity to ensure our systems are trustworthy, safe and consistent; directly impacting the performance and reliability of ConnexAI.

Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Software Test Engineer or similar role

Technical Competencies Required Proven background in Manual Testing Experience in working with AI systems Minimum 3 years of proven experience with API Testing Experience with Linux (bash / shell) Strong documentation skills Ideal API Testing experience with Playwright API, cURL or Postman (OAuth2.0 & JWT) DB Testing experience with Postgres / PSQL Experience testing LLM, ASR or TTS systems Experience using or testing Telecommunications software Knowledge of AWS or similar systems

Responsibilities

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will typically support 2 - 3 products. You will

  • Participate in and lead manual regression and ticket testing
  • Write, maintain and update manual regression packs
  • Manage bugs throughout their full life cycle
  • Communicate and collaborate with teams and stakeholders of varying technical knowledge, keeping them informed of pending, ongoing or completed testing
  • Attend agile ceremonies & team meetings; support planning, visibility and alignment
