Job Description
We are seeking a Site Operations Manager to oversee the daily operation and maintenance of multiple facilities. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring building systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that contractually agreed quality, audit, compliance obligations are met within the contract and delivered to the client’s satisfaction. Ensure quality work is being performed safely by staff and contractors Coordinate external contractors work for a variety of repairs and maintenance projects Can accurately estimate the labour, material and equipment required to complete maintenance and repair works Assists in organizing and maintaining technical information, regulatory compliance records, licensing and certifications to meet all federal, provincial and municipal building codes. Assists managing the maintenance management software (CMMS) Provides verbal and written reports as requested Review quality/safety procedures to ensure that there is adequate control of the quality/safety elements and facilitate as necessary to progress and close out any issues Support the Site Manager to ensure that the contract development embeds quality/safety behaviors, culture and performance. Create/Develop the supporting Quality/ Safety Toolkit for the contract, including assessment of areas of common failure to initiate and implement preventative and corrective action. Give timely and accurate information about relevant quality/safety, audit, and compliance related risks and issues and escalate when appropriate Liaison for all internal and external audits Ensures compliance with all SOW and operating procedures. Interacts with client or users around specific work efforts and deliverables Supports delivery of quality and health and safety policy and standards
Qualifications
BESO I or II, SMT, Fourth Class Power Engineer (NS certified), or equivalent. HVACR and refrigeration licensing (HRAI, ODP) as applicable. Experience in commercial or institutional building operations. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and BAS systems. Ability to obtain required security clearance (Canadian citizenship required). Minimum 3 years of experience required
