Job Description: DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced QA and Testing Engineer, preferably with a background in banking or financial services. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and ensuring the overall quality of our strategic global order management system – SPARTA. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute robust test plans and test cases based on business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs for a complex trading system. Perform comprehensive manual user interface (UI) testing to ensure intuitive, responsive, and defect-free functionality of the Sparta OMS across various workflows and user scenarios for Equities, Fixed Income, and FX trading. Execute detailed FIX message testing, analyzing message structures, content, and sequence to validate proper communication and data integrity between Sparta and external trading venues/clients. Participate in the review and improvement of test processes and methodologies and provide recommendations for improvement. Collaborate effectively with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and other QA team members to ensure thorough test coverage and high-quality deliverables. Identify, document, and track defects through resolution. Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, attend daily stand-up meetings, provide feedback, and contribute to sprint retrospectives. Keep up to date with new testing tools, techniques, and technologies to improve overall testing quality. Requirements: 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing. Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, ALM, Allure TestOps). Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Familiarity with database concepts and ability to write basic SQL queries for data validation. Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI or Bruno. Proficiency in designing, writing, and executing test cases, test plans and test reports. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment. Preferred: Knowledge of financial services, particularly within trading platforms and Order Management Systems (OMS). Highly appreciated experience with Equities, Fixed Income, and FX trading workflows, instruments, and market conventions. Familiarity with automation tools/frameworks is a plus.
