Your New Role

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will lead all supplier quality activities across the Canadian supply chain, with a strong focus on Supplier Quality Management and Product Quality Support. You’ll qualify new and existing suppliers, conduct on-site audits, manage production process validations, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with sourcing, engineering, and quality teams, you’ll ensure that all supplied products meet Victaulic’s world-class standards.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (an asset)

Experience

Minimum 5 years in a Supplier Quality Engineering role
Strong background managing supplier quality for cast, machined, fabricated, and assembled components
Proven experience in supplier qualification, auditing, corrective actions, and development

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of QMS audit practices
Skilled in Quality Engineering principles, statistical analysis, and related software (e.g., Minitab, MS Office)
Knowledge of measuring equipment and inspection methods
Proficiency with root cause analysis and CAPA processes
ASQ CQA or CQE certification is considered an asset

Soft Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Strong decision-making skills with the ability to work independently
Organized, analytical, and capable of prioritizing complex tasks
