Top 3 responsibilities

Your New Role
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will lead all supplier quality activities across the Canadian supply chain, with a strong focus on Supplier Quality Management and Product Quality Support. You’ll qualify new and existing suppliers, conduct on-site audits, manage production process validations, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with sourcing, engineering, and quality teams, you’ll ensure that all supplied products meet Victaulic’s world-class standards.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (an asset)
Experience
- Minimum 5 years in a Supplier Quality Engineering role
- Strong background managing supplier quality for cast, machined, fabricated, and assembled components
- Proven experience in supplier qualification, auditing, corrective actions, and development
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of QMS audit practices
- Skilled in Quality Engineering principles, statistical analysis, and related software (e.g., Minitab, MS Office)
- Knowledge of measuring equipment and inspection methods
- Proficiency with root cause analysis and CAPA processes
- ASQ CQA or CQE certification is considered an asset
Soft Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to work independently
- Organized, analytical, and capable of prioritizing complex tasks
