Top 3 responsibilities

Design and execute performance test strategies (load, stress, endurance, spike, scalability) from NFRs and architecture.
Build/maintain scripts, simulate real-user workloads, analyze bottlenecks, coordinate tuning with DevOps/developers; defect logging and reporting with KPIs.
Implement API performance tests, integrate tests into CI/CD, and mentor junior testers.

Must-have skills

3–5+ years in performance testing/engineering
Domain experience in Banking and/or Insurance
Proficiency with at least one major tool (JMeter or LoadRunner)
Programming/scripting in Java, Python, Groovy, or JavaScript
SQL proficiency; experience with monitoring/APM tools
Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills

We are seeking a highly experienced and meticulous Performance Tester to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a passion for quality, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of software development and testing lifecycles. You will be responsible for ensuring our software products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and user experience before they reach our clients

Responsibilities

Performance Strategy & Planning: Analyze non-functional requirements (NFRs) and technical architecture to design comprehensive performance test strategies (Load, Stress, Endurance, Spike, and Scalability testing).

Script Design & Execution: Develop, maintain, and execute complex performance test scripts using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner. Simulation of real-world user behaviors and transaction volumes.

Bottleneck Analysis & Tuning: Monitor system performance during tests (CPU, Memory, Disk I/O, Network). Identify performance bottlenecks (database locks, memory leaks, slow queries) and collaborate with developers/DevOps to provide tuning recommendations.

Defect Management & Reporting: Document performance issues in Jira with detailed analysis (logs, graphs, screenshots). Produce clear performance test reports comparing results against baselines and KPIs (Response Time, Throughput, Error Rate).

API Performance Testing: Create automated performance scenarios for REST/SOAP APIs to ensure backend services can handle high concurrency and data volume.

CI/CD Integration: Integrate performance tests into the CI/CD pipeline (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) to enable continuous performance monitoring.

Mentorship: Mentor junior team members on performance testing tools, best practices, and script optimization.
