About the role The Enterprise Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end IT automations that support employee lifecycle processes and enterprise service operations. The role focuses on eliminating manual work, improving data consistency, enforcing security controls, and enabling Day-1 productivity through scalable, reliable automation across the Microsoft and Atlassian platforms. Responsibilities
Workflow Orchestration: Design and implement automated Joiners, Movers, and Leavers (JML) processes integrating SuccessFactors with Microsoft Entra ID.
Service Desk Automation: Build and maintain complex automation rules within Jira Service Management (JSM) to handle intake, approvals, and ticket routing.
Identity & Access Management (IAM): Automate group memberships, license assignments, and application provisioning using Entra ID Governance and Power Automate.
Endpoint Management: Script and automate device configuration profiles and application deployments via Microsoft Intune.
API Integration: Develop custom "glue" code or use middleware to connect the Atlassian stack with Microsoft 365 and third-party SaaS tools.
Continuous Improvement: Audit existing manual IT tasks and propose automated alternatives to reduce "toil" across the Operations team. Collaborate with platform and digital teams to ensure internal automation patterns can evolve toward broader service orchestration and platform reuse
Requirements
The Microsoft Stack: Deep expertise in Entra ID (Azure AD), M365 Administration, and Microsoft Intune.
The Atlassian Stack: Advanced knowledge of Jira Cloud and Jira Service Management, and Automation for Jira.
Scripting & Development: Proficiency in PowerShell is mandatory. Experience with Python or Graph API is a significant plus.
Integration Frameworks: Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and Webhooks.
Logic & Low-Code: Mastery of Power Automate (LCS) and Logic Apps.
Systems Thinking: The ability to see how a change in the HR system ripples through to the end-user's laptop and access rights.
Security-First Mindset: Understanding the principle of "Least Privilege" and ensuring automations don't create security loopholes.
Analytical Problem Solving: You don't just patch symptoms; you find the root cause and automate the solution.
Stakeholder Communication: Ability to translate complex technical workflows into business value for HR and Finance partners. Preferred Qualifications
