We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Engineer to assess, analyze, and optimize the performance and scalability of our enterprise systems. These systems are developed using Java, WebLogic, Kubernetes, Angular, and Oracle Database, and are deployed in cloud and on-premise environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing both front-end and back-end components, ensuring the applications meet strict performance, stability, and responsiveness standards.
Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, soak, and scalability tests across full-stack applications (Java backend, Angular frontend).
Identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions to enhance application performance across cloud and on-premise environments.
Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to diagnose performance issues in distributed systems (WebLogic, Kubernetes, Oracle).
Monitor and analyze system metrics (CPU, memory, thread utilization, database connections, etc.) during test runs using appropriate tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.).
Simulate realistic load scenarios to evaluate end-user experience and responsiveness of both front-end (Angular) and back-end (Java) systems.
Provide detailed reports of performance tests, root cause analysis, and optimization recommendations.
Create and maintain performance test scripts, scenarios, and documentation.
Contribute to capacity planning and system tuning efforts based on testing insights.
Ensure systems meet SLAs for performance, availability, and scalability.
8+ years of experience in performance engineering or similar roles.
Strong expertise in performance testing tools (e.g., Apache JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner).
Proficient in analyzing performance metrics and logs from Java-based systems, WebLogic, and Oracle DB.
Experience working in Kubernetes-based microservices environments.
Solid understanding of front-end performance testing (Angular preferred).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid deployments.
Hands-on scripting/coding experience in languages like Java, Shell, or Python.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, New Relic, AppDynamics, or Prometheus.
Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.
Exposure to APM tools and real-user monitoring.
Understanding of container orchestration and optimization in Kubernetes environments.
Knowledge of caching, async processing, and data streaming systems is a plus.
