Role & seniority: Automation/Test Engineer, mid–senior (5–8 years experience); focuses on designing, programming, simulating and testing automation products/processes.
Stack/tools: Automation frameworks and tools; test automation for functional/regression/performance testing; backend/database programming; Agile delivery; continuous deployment; adherence to WIPRO standards; development of reusable libraries and design patterns.
Design, implement and execute automation/test plans; develop test cases, scenarios and usage cases; ensure coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
Build and maintain automation framework and tools; track defects, resolutions, and create a defect/mitigation database; improve testing processes.
Communicate with customers and stakeholders; define acceptance criteria; support deployment practices and maintain documentation per guidelines; collaborate with development and business SMEs.
Must-have skills: 5–8 years in automation/testing; strong experience designing and executing automated tests; functional, regression and performance testing; backend/database programming; ability to document and track issues; familiarity with Agile/CD practices.
Nice-to-haves: Experience designing reusable automation libraries across stacks; knowledge of automation architectures and best practices; experience aligning with corporate standards (e.g., WIPRO); cross-functional collaboration and robust reporting
