Job title: Automation Test Lead – Banking

Location: Sydney

Role: Contract

Experience: 8-12 Years (only)

Role Purpose

• We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to drive end-to-end testing for a major banking delivery stream. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for test strategy, automation, quality governance, and coordination of onshore/offshore teams within an Agile / SAFe environment.
• You will play a key role in delivering high-quality releases across digital and core banking platforms.

Skills & Experience Mandatory 8–12 years of experience in Testing / Quality Assurance within Banking or Financial Services. Extensive expertise in Automation Testing using Selenium WebDriver with Java or C#. Strong experience in BDD and TDD practices. Proven expertise in QA automation across both strategy/process governance and hands-on execution. Experience leading the selection, design, and implementation of automation tools and frameworks. Proven experience as a Test Lead or Senior Test Analyst on Agile banking programs. Experience managing onshore and offshore testing teams. Strong experience in test execution management, environment coordination, and defect lifecycle management. Knowledge of banking domains including Payments, Digital Banking, Lending, and Core Banking systems. Experience working within Agile / SAFe delivery models. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Preferred Experience working with Tier-1 banks or large financial institutions. Exposure to a wide range of test automation tools and frameworks. Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, ALM, and Azure DevOps. Understanding of banking regulatory, compliance, and risk frameworks. Experience supporting UAT and Business Readiness activities.
