Role & seniority: Performance Test Engineer, Contract/Freelance
Stack/tools: JMeter (hands-on); familiarity with end-to-end software testing lifecycle; documentation and configuration management tools as needed
Handle performance testing support activities and develop end-to-end performance testing strategy for the specified systems
Draft and maintain the performance test plan; execute load, stress, endurance, and capacity tests
Identify bottlenecks (memory leaks, connection issues), provide technical guidance to QA engineers/developers, and improve system performance, capacity, reliability, and scalability
Strong hands-on experience with JMeter
Experience across the full software lifecycle (requirements to maintenance)
Proficiency in test planning, estimation, strategy, workload design, test case design, test platform setup, test data setup, defect and configuration management
Ability to produce and maintain formal documentation
Experience enabling and mentoring other QA engineers and developers in performance testing
Prior work on performance testing for government or European institutions
Eligibility for EU security clearance (required for this role)

We are actively looking for a Performance Test Engineer experience to join a long term project at a government agency working for an European Institution
Good Hands-on knowledge on performance test tool JMeter Experience with the entire software lifecycle - requirements capture, analysis, design, implementation, quality assurance, deployment, and maintenance Expertise in Test Planning, Test Estimation, Test Strategy, Work Load Design, Test Cases Design, Test Platform Setup, Test Data Setup, Defect Management & Configuration Management Capacity in writing documents
Handle the performance testing support activities as required Develop a strategy for end-to-end performance testing of the software and hardware systems specified in this tender Draft the performance test plan and update the test plan for review to manager/leader Execute the various performance tests including Load test, stress test, endurance test, capacity test Identifying memory leakage, connection issues & Bottleneck problem in the application Enable other QA engineers and developers in running performance tests Provide technical assistance to improve system performance, capacity, reliability and scalability
Onsite rate = €450.00 Remote rate = €350.00
*** This role can be based 50% of the year in Strasbourg paying €450 and 50% of the year working remote paying €300
