About the role: Design improvement proposals for mechanization and automation processes in agave cultivation, aiming to increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency in agricultural operations. Conduct continuous research on cutting-edge agricultural technology to acquire innovative ideas that can be adapted and later applied to cultivation needs, collaborating with institutions and companies specializing in agricultural equipment and technology to generate alternatives for evaluation and adjustment in agave production. Develop evaluation and research protocols for assigned projects. Experimental evaluation in the different plantation areas of DJA. Provide recommendations, including the creation of manuals and procedures, for the proper use of newly developed technologies in the area of agricultural machinery and automation (equipment, methods, technologies), and support operations in their evaluation and implementation. Collaborate with institutions, technology companies, and various internal departments such as R&D, Operations, Jima, and Regenerative Agriculture for the development of innovation projects in the area. Support, analyze, and track the CAPEX and OPEX budgets related to the department. Experience required/Skills/Capabilities/Languages: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Agronomy, Industrial Control, Robotics, Electronics, System or a related field.
