This 8-month contract will see you lead end to end testing across a complex SAP landscape, combining hands-on delivery with structured test governance.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring system quality, release readiness, and stable deployments across multiple testing cycles including SIT, integration, regression, and UAT.

Operating within a medium to large scale project environment, you will work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, and senior stakeholders to define strategy, oversee execution, and manage defects through to resolution. Success in this role means delivering traceable test coverage, clear reporting, and high-confidence releases across SAP ECC and SAP Commerce Cloud environments.

You’ll contribute hands-on to test design and execution when required, ensuring business requirements are validated to a high standard across every phase.

Develop and maintain the overall test strategy, plans, schedules, and entry and exit criteria Analyse business and technical requirements to design detailed, traceable test cases and scenarios Lead and support testing across SIT, integration, regression, interface, and UAT phases Oversee execution progress, manage risks, and escalate issues where required Manage the full defect lifecycle including triage, prioritisation, retesting, and reporting Log and track defects with clear evidence and reproduction steps using ALM and JIRA/Zephyr Provide clear status updates, dashboards, and executive-ready reporting on test readiness and quality metrics Support environment planning, test data preparation, and readiness assessments across cycles

This is: what you’ll need

5+ years of software testing experience, including leadership as a Test Lead or Test Manager Strong hands-on manual testing capability across functional, integration, and regression phases Proven SAP testing experience, ideally across SAP ECC and SAP Commerce Cloud Experience managing defect lifecycles using HP ALM, JIRA, and Zephyr Ability to lead small to mid-sized test teams while remaining hands-on Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across business and technical teams Understanding of Agile and/or Waterfall delivery models Exposure to integrations, APIs, environments, and data flows within enterprise systems
