Job Description: The NCG Test Engineer will support critical sustaining and platform migration initiatives, assisting senior engineers with data preparation, test flow reviews, and documentation, while gradually building technical ownership and expertise in semiconductor test operations across Final Test(FT) and Probe(Wafersort). Important Role This position is critical to: Augment execution capacity for sustaining activities Offload routine tasks from senior engineers, allowing them to focus on complex platform migrations Develop a long-term talent pipeline for the team Provide gradual but measurable improvements in cycle time, throughput, and process efficiency Key Responsibilities & Impact FabQual Support Assist with data preparation, report review, TP updates, and documentation to support pre- and post-qualification activities Platform Migration (FT & Probe) Support training on legacy testers, schematic reviews, documentation updates, and regression checks, gradually enabling participation in platform migration Quality Test Screen Reviews Assist with test flow reviews, checklist validation, and data analysis to enable senior engineers to increase throughput High-Impact Manufacturing Improvements Support test optimization initiatives (test time reduction, flow/temp optimization, site proliferation) Assist with yield improvement and characterization studies Contribute to Failure Analysis and Customer Returns test support and documentation What You’ll Gain Exposure to FT and Probe manufacturing environments Hands-on learning under senior engineers’ mentorship Opportunity to develop technical expertise and gradually take ownership of defined scopes Experience in high-priority, high-impact sustaining and migration activities A collaborative team culture focused on execution and continuous improvement If you are a recent graduate passionate about semiconductor test engineering and ready to start your career with immediate learning opportunities, we encourage you to apply or reach out for more information. Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field Basic knowledge of electronics and semiconductor test fundamentals, including linear products (op-amps, comparators, DAC/ADC, current sense, thermal sensors) Familiarity with ATE, lab equipment, and basic programming or scripting (e.g., VB, C++, LabVIEW) is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Good communication and teamwork skills Eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment Travel Time: 0% - 25% To all recruitment agencies: Microchip Technology Inc. does not accept unsolicited agency resumes.
