Job Description: Designation : Senior Engineer- QA Reporting to : Senior Lead Location : Bangalore, Full Time Qualification : BE– CS/EC/EE/IS/Mech, MCA/Msc - CS Experience : 6- 8 years of experience Position Overview- The QA Analyst is responsible for reviewing and analyzing system specifications, executing test scripts and reviewing results and reporting and documenting technical issues as part of the rolling out of new systems and processes, and our continuous improvement process. Roles and Responsibilities: • Review and analyze system specifications • Execute test scripts and review results • Report and document technical issues; make recommendations. • Assess software quality through manual and automated testing. • Find and report bugs and glitches. • Ensure that our products, applications and systems work correctly. • Review and analyze system specifications • Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans • Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results • Evaluate product code according to specifications • Create logs to document testing phases and defects • Report bugs and errors to development teams • Help troubleshoot issues • Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle Skills and Abilities • Strong analytical skills. • Keen eye for detail. • Competent in executing test cases and are passionate about quality. • Ability to be proactive and handle multiple assignments. • Creative problem-solving skills; ability to solve difficult problems and deal with a variety of variables. • Strong Communication skills. • Strong documentation and organization skills. • Knowledge of business process and the information that drives it. • Knowledge of concepts and/or experience in business process modeling. • Knowledge or concepts and/or experience in data modeling. • Facilitation and meeting management skills. • Knowledge of technology and analytical solutions and options. • Experience with Analyst productivity tools and approaches. • Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and changing priorities; embrace change and assist others. • Ability to multi-task in a busy, fast-paced, environment. • Ability to understand and follow UCFS policies, procedures and guidelines. • Ability to work effectively with UCFS employees, vendors and customers. • Ability to work quickly in accordance with customers’ time constraints. • Proficiency with a computer, standard office equipment and computer programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Internet/search engine savvy. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role. • Experience in project management and QA methodology. • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus. • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors. • Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. qTest, Zephyr) and SQL. • Project Management training and/or experience a plus.
