Role & seniority: Test Automation Engineer Lead; hands-on technical leader guiding a small team (2–3 engineers) with end-to-end ownership of automation frameworks.
Stack/tools: Pytest, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright; API testing with Postman; CI/CD integration; cloud: AWS/Azure/GCP; DevOps tooling: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions; enterprise-scale framework design and governance.
Lead design, development, and maintenance of automated test strategies, scripts, and frameworks across functional, regression, API, UI, and integration testing.
Mentor engineers, coach across teams, and drive automation strategy, framework design, and tooling decisions; ensure best practices.
Own automation health, CI/CD integration, metrics, governance, and root-cause analysis; collaborate with stakeholders to improve efficiency and reliability.
Must-have skills: 8+ years hands-on automated testing; enterprise-grade framework design; extensive API testing; strong debugging/root-cause analysis; DevOps and CI/CD experience; cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP); excellent communication and leadership; experience integrating tests into pipelines.
Nice-to-haves: Experience with serverless/cloud-native architectures; broader solution architecture contribution; leadership across large enterprise applications; familiarity with vendor collaboration.

The Test Automation Engineer Lead is a hands‑on technical leader responsible for guiding a small team of 2–3 automation engineers while driving the development of scalable, high‑quality test automation frameworks. This role works with minimal oversight and collaborates closely with business and technical partners to ensure reliable, high‑performing system delivery and to advance automation maturity across the organization.
