Description
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer who is curious, analytical, and passionate about delivering high-quality software. In this role, you will contribute throughout the development lifecycle—engaging in refinements, challenging requirements, and validating complex, data-driven scenarios. You will help elevate our QA standards, strengthen our processes, and contribute to continuous improvement across the team.
Essential Job Functions
Actively participate in refinements, requirement reviews, and planning sessions, identifying gaps, risks, and edge cases early. Analyze system behavior, data flows, and integrations to determine testing needs, priorities, and effective test approaches. Create, maintain, and execute test plans, test strategies, and test cases across software and hardware solutions. Contribute to in-sprint automation by creating and maintaining automated tests that ensure new features are validated efficiently and consistently. Perform functional, integration, regression, and data-focused testing across applications and services. Test SOAP and REST APIs, validating JSON and XML responses. Estimate testing effort, track defects, analyze results, and provide clear reporting to stakeholders. Contribute to QA process improvements and help raise quality standards across the team. Document test scenarios, results, and processes with clear and concise communication. Participate in agile ceremonies including standups, retrospectives, and planning.
Qualifications
3+ years of QA experience in an agile development environment. Strong ability to analyze data sets, workflows, and system interactions to uncover issues and validate scenarios. Demonstrated ability to challenge requirements and help teams clarify acceptance criteria. Experience testing web-based or client/server applications. UI automation experience with Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) or Selenium (Java). Hands-on experience with either framework, with the ability to learn or adopt Playwright Familiarity with tools such as Selenium, JMeter, JUnit/TestNG, or Playwright Test. Experience testing web services (REST/SOAP) and validating JSON/XML structures. Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman or SOAPUI. Experience with IntelliJ or VS Code. Strong test planning, test case creation, and execution skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed. Knowledge of TDD concepts; experience with CI/CD is a nice-to-have, not required. Excellent written communication skills for documenting test results, defects, and technical details. Salary Description
$70 - $90k annually
