Role & seniority: Automation Engineer, mid-to-senior level (4–6+ years in industrial automation; bachelor’s in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics or equivalent experience)
Stack/tools: PLCs, sensors, actuators; control panels; machine vision systems; machine learning for visual inspection; collaborative robots (c robots); automated guided vehicles (AGVs); safety controls (light curtains)
Design, install, and maintain automation systems for manufacturing processes
Develop/deploy vision systems and ML models for inspection and mistake-proofing
Retrofit equipment/workflows, troubleshoot, optimize uptime, and document systems
4–6+ years in industrial automation in manufacturing
Strong PLC/hardware integration, control panel wiring, and system integration
Experience with vision/ML for quality inspection; robotics/AGV integration
Safety compliance and ability to document controls and SOPs
Experience with machine integrators and automation vendors
Knowledge of process optimization and cross-functional collaboration
Advanced degree or equivalent in related engineering field
