Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead with 5–10 years of experience in automation testing, manual testing, test planning, and quality engineering. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with automation tools, possess strong programming skills, and be capable of guiding the QA team in best practices while ensuring the quality of our web and mobile products. You will play a key role in building scalable testing frameworks, ensuring CI/CD readiness, and driving quality engineering initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, design, development, and execution of automation and manual test strategies for product releases. Architect, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Rest Assured, Pytest, Appium, and Cucumber. Oversee API testing and build/maintain API automation suites using tools like Postman and Rest Assured. Drive performance/load testing initiatives using Apache JMeter or LoadRunner. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria, identify test scenarios, and ensure comprehensive coverage. Integrate and optimize automated testing within CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc. Mentor and guide junior/mid-level QA engineers on automation scripting, test design, and best practices. Conduct thorough defect reviews, root-cause analysis, and help drive quality improvements. Work with product, development, and DevOps teams to ensure test environments and test data readiness. Track testing progress, prepare quality metrics, and communicate test results and risks to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Experience

5–10 years of experience as a QA/Automation Engineer, with 2+ years in a lead or mentoring role.

Strong hands-on experience in automation tools

Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Rest Assured, Pytest, Appium, Cucumber

Strong programming experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript. Experienced in API testing with Postman and API automation frameworks. Good experience with load/performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter and LoadRunner. Solid understanding of CI/CD processes, Git, and continuous testing best practices. Hands-on experience with bug-tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, etc. Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies. Good grasp of database concepts with hands-on experience using MySQL/MSSQL for validations. Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred / Good To Have – AI Testing Skills

Hands-on experience with AI-powered test automation tools such as Testim, Mabl, or similar tools. Exposure to AI-driven test case generation tools and automation accelerators. Understanding of machine learning–based testing frameworks. Familiarity with AI-based defect detection, prediction, or root-cause analysis tools.
