Role & seniority: Verification & Validation Engineer (early-career; HTL/Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical Eng or similar)
Stack/tools: Reciprocating engine technology; software integration; engine calibration; parameter management; DFMEA; DVP&R; test bench planning and validation reporting; V-model and agile methods (Scrum)
Perform verification and validation activities for assigned platforms, ensuring alignment with requirements and standards
Develop and execute validation plans, coordinate with system owners, apply DFMEA for risk mitigation, and prepare comprehensive reports
Plan test bench equipment/infrastructure, analyze results, and collaborate with engineering to align technical needs and priorities
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
First experience in engine/component test and validation
Knowledge of reciprocating engine technology, software integration, engine calibration, parameter management, DFMEA, DVP&R
Analytical, proactive, capable of technical presentations
Familiarity with V-model and agile methods
English and German language skills; willingness to travel
Legal work authorization for Austria
Experience with combustion engines (e.g., Formula Student, related hobbies)
Additional exposure to development models or industry standards
