Role & seniority: Validation Engineer, mid-senior level (5+ years in engine/component testing and validation)

Position Overview
The Validation Engineer will ensure long-term business profitability by delivering effective and efficient validation of new and redesigned products, with a strong focus on field units. This role is critical in providing high-quality products to customers by confirming that all products meet design specifications and business expectations prior to serial release.
This position will be based at our Houston, TX office.
Responsibilities
Process
Supports and updates the Domain & Development Processes (Design Practices, Guidelines & Standards), Verification and Validation (DVP&R) for the field validation domain across the systems and products Assures the domain technology and development practices are state-of-the art, compliant with relevant international standards and adequately benchmarked against competitors systems Maintains the field validation process to be accurate and reflective of business needs, ensure role out, adherence and engagement business wide Prepare written validation reports, coordinate input and present validation results and validation progress within reviews
Tools and Methods
Effective methodology for tracking and reporting of field validation status and driving stakeholder engagement Proactive collation (internal and external) of simplification and improvement methods relating to field validation and implementation across the FV Domain Lead and execute multiple validation plans utilizing the system hierarchy, requirements engineering, system owner input and DFMEA
Planning
Determine time schedules, resources and the associated costs Close collaboration with the Engine Development team to define a realistic, executable and value added validation plan Ensure configuration to validate is per specification and according to field validation plan Defining focused, accurate and customer centric documentation while supporting input to field validation contracts Planning, tracking and monitoring of ongoing field validations via remote monitoring and at customer sites world wide Planning and execution of dedicated engine investigations in the field at customer sites Lead and execute multiple validation plans (including onsite work in person) utilizing the system hierarchy, requirements engineering, system owner input and DFMEA
Reports
Regular status updates on all platforms, delivered via a real-time automated dashboard, continuous maintenance of planning tool accuracy, and generation of end-of-trip/validation reports Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field Minimum five (5) years of experience in engine/component testing and validation techniques Proven experience and knowledge in an industrial environment with reciprocating engine technology and associated systems Experience with software integration, validation processes, engine calibration, and parameter management Ability to travel up to 60% as business demands Valid driver's license and passport Legally authorized to work in the United States

Project planning and execution, including cost estimation and resource allocation Ability to lead and execute multiple validation plans using system hierarchy, requirements engineering, and DFMEA Proficiency in tracking and reporting validation status using automated dashboards and planning tools Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities Ability to interpret technical data and provide actionable recommendations.
