Full Description
As a Quality Engineer Staff, you are responsible for supporting manufacturing processes and ensuring product quality by applying Goodyear’s standards, procedures, and engineering tools. You lead product and process improvements, diagnose performance trends, and drive effective problem‑solving using analytical and quality engineering methods. This role manages internal and external customer relationships, ensuring requirements are met and satisfaction is continuously improved. You also serve as a technical expert, coaching teams in technical solutions, plant optimization methods, and risk‑mitigation techniques to enhance overall process capability and business performance.
What You’ll Do
Drive and coach others in applying technical solutions, data analysis methods, and quality decision‑making to meet product and process requirements while minimizing risk. Lead global, cross‑functional collaboration to solve complex problems, introduce new problem‑solving tools, and enhance existing technologies and processes. Coach teams in recognizing issues, applying effective problem‑solving strategies, and delivering measurable process improvements across functions and regions. Communicate and document work clearly while adhering to knowledge standards, ensuring consistent alignment with technology guidelines and functional processes. Lead project management efforts, including planning, risk mitigation, execution, conflict resolution, and coaching others through project lifecycle activities. Achieve impactful results by leveraging internal resources, driving innovation, and improving approaches used by teams to strengthen overall organizational performance.
