Role & seniority: Senior Manufacturing Engineer / NPI-focused leadership (requires 8+ years in quality/manufacturing/product engineering; experience leading cross-functional teams preferred)
Stack/tools: Statistical product quality control (SPC), reliability modeling, failure analysis, DFX in hardware development; New Product Introduction (NPI) leadership; RCCA (Root Cause and Corrective Actions); scripting languages and SQL; advanced statistics (DOE, SPC, Six Sigma)
Define and own the end-to-end quality and reliability strategy for Google’s hardware across design through field support
Lead resolution of systemic quality issues in manufacturing and the field via RCCA and structured methodologies
Collaborate with engineering to influence design specs, qualification plans, and test coverage; establish and monitor quality KPIs; enable continuous improvement
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials or related engineering field (or equivalent experience)
8+ years in quality, manufacturing, or product engineering for server infrastructure, storage, or networking hardware
Experience with SPC, reliability modeling, failure analysis, DFX, and leading NPI
Ability to manage customer quality, supplier quality, and RMA/PCN processes
Experience leading cross-functional teams; root cause analysis and corrective actions
Proficiency with scripting and SQL
