The Finance & Payroll Test Lead is a pivotal role within the Digital Reimagination (DRI) Program, leading the testing strategy and execution across complex Finance and Payroll systems. This role supports the Finance, Infrastructure and Digital team in delivering a high-quality SAP transformation. It would suit an experienced SAP testing leader with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a proven track record across large-scale enterprise programs.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Implement and lead the defined Finance & Payroll test strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and program requirements. Identify, highlight, and report risks and issues during testing, providing recommendations to mitigate impacts on delivery timelines and quality. Lead a team of testers for HR and Payroll testing activities, including ST, SIT, UAT, payroll parallel testing, and production verification testing. Apply test governance practices including entry/exit criteria, defect triage, quality gates, and compliance with regulatory and audit standards. Collaborate with solution architects and integration leads to ensure traceability and complete test coverage across complex system integrations.
ABOUT YOU Proven leadership in SAP testing – Successful track record leading end-to-end testing on large-scale SAP transformation programs, ensuring on-time delivery and quality outcomes. Minimum 10 years of experience across all test phases. Skilled in system testing, SIT, UAT, payroll, parallel testing, data migration, and production verification testing. Strong stakeholder engagement – Ability to collaborate with users and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment of testing strategies with business objectives. Adaptability across methodologies – Experienced in SAP Activate, Agile/Scrum, Hybrid Agile, and Waterfall delivery models, with the flexibility to deliver within diverse project frameworks. Defect and test management excellence – Skilled in test planning, execution, defect management, reporting, and driving continuous improvements using tools such as JIRA, X-Ray, HP ALM and Tosca. Test automation and DevOps knowledge – Proficient in automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and applying risk-based testing approaches to optimize delivery.
