Define, own, and execute the end-to-end test strategy for SuccessFactors Payroll (SIT, UAT, Parallel Payroll, Regression)
Lead payroll testing efforts, validate end-to-end workflows, parallel runs, sign-off readiness; manage defect triage and progress reporting
Manage and mentor onshore/offshore testers; coordinate with Payroll SMEs, HR, Finance, IT, and vendors; ensure quality metrics and risk management
Proven Test Lead experience on SAP SuccessFactors implementations
Hands-on testing in SAP SuccessFactors Payroll; strong payroll process, awards, allowances, superannuation, tax, and compliance knowledge

Exciting Opportunity: Test Lead β SuccessFactors (Payroll)
We are partnering with a reputable client to find a skilled Test Lead to oversee the end-to-end testing activities for SuccessFactors, with a specialised focus on Payroll.
Duration: Contract until November 2026 + potential extensions
Location: CBD. 2 days in office/week. Potential occasional travel to Perth
Define and own the comprehensive test strategy for SuccessFactors Payroll, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Parallel Payroll, and Regression testing. Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, schedules, and resourcing models to align with program milestones and payroll deadlines. Lead testing efforts for payroll processes, ensuring accurate calculations, awards, allowances, superannuation, tax, and statutory compliance. Validate end-to-end payroll workflows, including integrations between SuccessFactors, payroll engines, time and attendance systems, and downstream processes. Oversee parallel payroll runs and support the transition to payroll sign-off, ensuring readiness. Manage and mentor a team of onshore and offshore testers, distributing work, monitoring progress, and maintaining high-quality deliverables. Collaborate closely with Payroll SMEs, HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to coordinate testing efforts and resolve issues. Facilitate defect triage, testing status updates, and regular reporting on testing progress, risks, and quality metrics. Manage the defect lifecycle to prioritise issues affecting payroll accuracy or compliance, driving resolution and continuous improvement in testing practices.
Proven experience as a Test Lead specifically working on SAP SuccessFactors implementations. Strong hands-on testing experience with Payroll modules for SuccessFactors. A deep understanding of payroll processes, awards, compliance, and statutory requirements. Experience leading testing teams within complex enterprise programs. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Familiarity with test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or ALM.
Experience with large-scale HR or payroll transformation projects. Awareness of Australian payroll legislation and compliance. ISTQB or similar testing certification.
