Establish vehicle-level attributes/requirements and lead validation planning and execution (engine and vehicle builds)

Lead engineering problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis in EV/diesel contexts

Conduct EV vehicle testing, electrical testing, and software/OTA updates; manage validation activities for heavy trucks (class 5 & 8)
Must-have skills

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Engineering Technology

5+ years of product/vehicle testing experience

CDL license (required to drive school bus and heavy truck)

Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and communication (in-person/phone/email)

Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with CAN data links and communication protocols

Familiarity with calibration tools (INCA, Canalyzer) and service tools (InSite, SDS)

Role: Validation Engineer
Location: New Carlisle, IN
*** Must have CDL license (Commercial Driver License) ***
Description
- Establishes vehicle-level attributes and requirements.
- Leads engineering problem-solving efforts.
- Expert in CANalyzer, Somat, Dewsoft.
- Responsible for EV vehicle testing and troubleshooting.
- Expert in OTA, OTI & electrical testing.
- Manages validation planning and execution including engine and vehicle builds.
- Expert working on heavy trucks class 5 & 8
- Must require CDL license to drive school bus and heavy truck.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology
- At least 5 years of experience in product vehicle testing.
Desired Skills
- Aptitude for troubleshooting issues in an ambiguous environment.
- Ability to identify root cause, contain, and permanently correct engineering issues.
- EV and/or Diesel experience is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills in-person, on the phone, and by email.
- Well-versed in commercial class 8 fleet trucks, trailers, and on-highway norms.
- Knowledgeable of DoT requirements.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
