SDET / QA Automation Engineer – 12 Month Contract 💶 €435/day | Hybrid (Dublin, Ireland)

I’m working with a global technology leader seeking an experienced SDET / QA Automation Engineer to join their high-performing engineering team on a 12-month daily-rate contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about automation, performance, and quality contributing to world-class systems at enterprise scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with software engineers to embed quality at every stage — ensuring robust test coverage, performance monitoring, and configuration quality
• Develop and implement QA standards, processes, and tools that drive continuous improvement
• Design and execute performance test strategies and plans, translating complex requirements into effective test approaches
• Identify, implement, and enhance test automation frameworks using Java, JUnit, and Rest Assured
• Troubleshoot and replicate complex issues, ensuring seamless resolution
• Define and maintain best practices for end-to-end performance management
• Evaluate and recommend testing tools and emerging technologies to strengthen automation capabilities
• Contribute to (and occasionally lead) initiatives aimed at elevating QA excellence across the organisation

Skills & Experience

• Strong test automation expertise, particularly with Java
• Proven experience in JUnit, Rest Assured, and API testing
• Solid understanding of the Java test automation stack
• Experience building upon existing frameworks and enhancing test coverage
• Background in the payments industry is highly desirable

Contract Details

Duration: 12 months

Rate: €435/day

Model: Hybrid in Dublin, Ireland

Interview Process: Single stage
