This is a unique opportunity for an engineer who wants to shape how complex systems are validated. In this role, you’ll collaborate with design, manufacturing, and customer-facing teams to define validation strategies, develop test plans, and ensure product quality throughout development. You will be responsible for creating validation processes for a new Caterpillar product, coordinating execution at the Tucson Proving Ground and customer sites, and driving alignment across stakeholders. What You’ll Do Lead validation planning efforts across the full product lifecycle, from concept through production, ensuring designs meet performance, durability, and safety requirements. Develop and improve testing strategies, processes, and tools to maximize efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues, ensure design acceptance, and achieve manufacturing readiness. Adopt emerging technologies (automation, robotics, advanced simulation) to enhance validation capabilities. Monitor and analyze test results, machine performance, and process reliability; recommend corrective actions and improvements. Drive continuous improvement in validation methodologies and quality assurance practices. Mentor and guide teams on best practices for testing and troubleshooting complex technical challenges.
