Salary: $58 - $73 / hour
Role & seniority: QA/QC Supervisor with 8+ years in quality control; leads QA/QC project team and supervises Quality Control Inspectors.
Stack/tools: ASME B31 piping codes; ASME Section IX; welding procedures and welder qualifications; AWS QC-1 (SCWI/CWI) and/or ICC Mechanical – Commercial certifications; SPC methods; document control and quality audits; project quality plans.
Lead and coach the QA/QC project team; ensure First-in Inspection and project-specific quality control plan adherence; drive issue resolution and systematic problem solving.
Perform quality engineering reviews of design/docs; apply SPC to analyze data; manage non-conformance with the General Contractor and project team.
Review purchased products/components for acceptance and future purchases; prepare and present QA/QC reports; maintain compliance with codes, standards, and company SOPs.
8+ years QC experience in ASME B31 piping, fabrication, welding, NDT; 3+ years of direct reports leadership.
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Senior Certified Welding Inspector (SCWI) and/or ICC Mechanical – Commercial; proficiency in ASME IX BP&V; ability to read and interpret technical docs; strong communication and problem-solving; data analysis and SPC basics.
Additional vendor quality/manufacturer auditing, either government/industry QA codes familiarity, and ability to create/review welding procedures.
Experience
As the QA/QC Supervisor you will lead the QA/QC Project Team, setting clear expectations and actively coaching and developing direct reports. Ensure that the First-in Inspection process effectively reduces risk and minimizes cost due to fabrication and installation errors, promote resolution of Quality issues with Project Team, and monitor all quality issues to ensure systematic problems are addressed. Actively audit the execution of the Project Specific Quality Control Plan to ensure that all required commitments are adhered to and meet the Standard Operating Procedures of the Company. Proactively work with the Project Management Team to support the success of the project and provide an avenue for input into quality requirement changes.

Monday through Friday beginning between 6: 00 am and 7:00 am and ending between
4: 00 pm and 5:00 pm, with one hour for lunch. Eight hours per day is required, and occasional overtime may be necessary due to business needs.
Based on business needs to and from the primary office to regional branch offices & job sites. Varying work in varying locations.
