Job Title: Parts quality Engineer-Assistant Manager
Job Description
This role is pivotal in ensuring that quality standards of safety, performance, and reliability are maintained throughout the design and manufacturing process of jet engine parts. The position involves overseeing supplier management, identifying and investigating defects, developing preventative measures, conducting quality audits, and collaborating with global customers and suppliers in technical quality assurance activities. The role also encompasses overseeing parts productivity, operational efficiency, cost management, and customer delivery targets.
Responsibilities
Support suppliers and in-house manufacturing for quality-related activities. Review completed product final inspection sheets and special process documentation for acceptability. Support non-conforming part-related investigations (NCMR) and collaborate with engineering teams. Implement corrective and preventative action support both internally and with the supply base. Provide design change investigation support for manufacturing and supplier-related activities. Review processes such as Routers, FMEA, operation standards, process control sheets, and other control documentation to ensure design requirements are met. Lead supplier audits (when certified) to AS9100 and specific customer requirements.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering or applicable work experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Suite applications. Understanding of drawings and specifications with the ability to communicate technical information effectively. Good interpersonal skills and self-motivation with the ability to drive continuous improvement. Experience with CAD/CATIA and working knowledge of gauging, calibration, GD&T, and CMM.
The position involves less than 40% travel.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
