About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Quality Engineer to join our team in Durham, NC. Qualifications
10+ years of experience in software development and/or software quality assurance Proactive problem-solving attitude Working knowledge of industry-standard security practices (e.g., OWASP) Experience leading or working within Agile/Scrum teams Strong understanding of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design principles Expertise in Software Quality tools and methodologies Solid understanding of quality practices and languages such as BDD, TDD, Gherkin Fluency in C# with the ability to read and comprehend product code snippets Proficiency in SQL fundamentals (SELECT, WHERE, basic joins) Demonstrated analytical thinking and strong documentation skills Effective verbal communication of analytical findings and process designs

Champion software quality across testing and development activities, ensuring adherence to best practices Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for both back-end/API and UI testing Enhance and maintain automation pipelines to improve testing efficiency and coverage Establish and enforce effective test management strategies and standards across the organization Analyze defect trends and metrics, providing actionable feedback to development teams and leadership Evaluate and integrate new testing tools and technologies to optimize quality processes Mentor and coach software development and quality engineering teams to foster skill development Create and maintain test environments, ensuring they accurately simulate production settings Stay current with industry standards and best practices, leading educational initiatives for teams Provide feedback on customer product needs to product owners, developers, and testers Collaborate with regulatory teams to incorporate robust testing and traceability into the product lifecycle Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for critical product releases Assist in the development of product documentation and training materials as needed
