Role & seniority: Lead UAT and validation tester for a modernized Integrated Eligibility (SNAP/TANF/Child Care) and CSE platform; 5+ years in related large-scale programs.
Stack/tools: UAT planning and execution; test plans, scenarios, cases, and scripts; defect tracking and reporting; test data setup; test automation where approved; coordination with client, system integrator, and SMEs.
Develop/maintain UAT and validation tests for functional and non-functional requirements; execute tests and document results.
Coordinate defect triage, test data, and end-to-end coverage with client, SI, and program SMEs; produce metrics and final reports.
Facilitate UAT sessions, pilot testing, and statewide go-live support; contribute to governance and status reviews.
Must-have skills: 5+ years in SNAP/TANF/Child Care/Child Support initiatives; proven UAT coordination, test case development, and defect management; strong knowledge of integrated eligibility, case management, and benefits issuance; experience with state eligibility systems, policies, SOPs, and federal requirements (FNS/OCSE); clear English communication.
Nice-to-haves: Experience with test automation setup/execution; prior statewide go-live support; familiarity with federal partner requirements beyond basics; experience collaborating with agencies, SI, and business users.
Location & work type: Onsite in Jackson, MS, 3 days per week; remaining days off-site or as arranged.
Job Description
In this role, you join our team and you will lead UAT and validation testing for a modernized Integrated Eligibility (SNAP, TANF, Child Care) and Child Support Enforcement (CSE) platform—ensuring accuracy, compliance, and readiness for statewide go-live. You will work onsite with the team in Jackson, MS 3 days a week and you will be part of a team that will own test planning and execution, defect triage, and stakeholder coordination across agency teams and the system integrator. Using your prior testing experience with State Integrated Eligibility and at least one program area: SNAP, TANF, Child Care, and/or CSE.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain UAT and validation test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts for functional and non-functional requirements Execute functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing and document results Support UAT planning, test data setup, defect tracking, triage, and resolution Coordinate with client, System Integrator, and program SMEs to ensure end-to-end test coverage Produce daily and weekly test execution reports, defect metrics, and a final test summary report Facilitate UAT sessions, pilot testing, and statewide go-live support Configure and execute test automation where appropriate and approved by client Participate in status meetings, reviews, and testing governance activities
Required Qualifications ( Must Have)
Minimum 5+ years of experience in large-scale, multi-year SNAP, TANF, Child Care, and Child Support programmatic and technology initiatives Proven experience with state eligibility systems, policies, SOPs, and benefits processing workflows Working knowledge of federal partner requirements (FNS, OCSE) related to eligibility system implementation and approvals Hands-on experience in UAT coordination, test case development, test execution, and defect management Strong understanding of integrated eligibility, case management, and benefits issuance processes Experience collaborating with agency stakeholders, system integrators, and business users Clear verbal and written communication skills in English
