Role & seniority: Software Test Engineer (structured, mid-level to senior potential based on experience)
Stack/tools: Python/Perl, C/C++; System Software (bootloader, BSP, HLOS); low-level firmware; SoC peripherals (clock, voltage, PMIC); high-speed peripherals (USB, PCIe); I2C, SPI, UART; storage (UFS, eMMC, NAND, NVMe); Linux, RTOS, QNX; debugging/log analysis; Source Control, CI, bug tracking
Create test strategy, detailed test plans and test cases from high-level feature requirements; support firmware upgrades/troubleshooting and diagnostics
Investigate test failures, develop/test reports; develop/enhance tools, apps, or processes to improve quality and test efficiency
Collaborate with Dev, product requirements/design, project management, hardware/software teams; analyze top bugs and publish statistical reports to stakeholders
Proficient in Python/Perl and C/C++; able to design and code from scratch
Experience in System Software (bootloader/BSP/HLOS) and/or low-level firmware validation
Knowledge of ARM architecture, Linux/RTOS/QNX OS, and strong debugging skills
Experience with I2C/SPI/UART; familiarity with USB/PCIe and low-power modes (advantage)
Understanding of storage concepts (UFS, eMMC, NAND, NVMe)
Experience with USB electrical/protocol compliance; knowledge of SoC peripherals (clock, voltage, PMIC)
Familiarity with test automation tools, CI/CD, and bug-trac
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
1+ year of work or academic experience with Software Test or System Test, developing and automating test plans and/or tools (e.g., Source Code Control Systems, Continuous Integration Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools).
