The Testing and Assessment Coordinator is responsible for coordinating an array of internal/external exams and assessments, testing functions and programs, and acting as the technical liaison to Campus/District Network Services. This position assists with data compilation and the preparation of operational and statistical reports, as well as facilitating the day-to-day departmental functions.
This is a temporary grant funded position through August 31 year 2026 contingent upon grantor funding and grant extensions.
This grant position will be eligible for participation in the Florida Retirement System (FRS) after 6 consecutive months of continuous employment.
What you will be doing
Assists with the development and implementation of new tests, evaluations of cut scores, testing fees changes, procedural changes to ensure the security of examinations and assessments, state and federal rule changes affecting testing procedures, early high school testing, annual revisions to related sections of the Dual Enrollment Articulation Agreement, and to the Placement Criteria Manual
Compiles data, analyzes, and evaluates operational and statistical reports
Works closely with Network Services and Campus Administration to implement and ensure that the testing and assessment needs of a department, campus, and/or College meet the software or updates requirements, as well as the security of examinations and assessments
Oversees and maintains multiple online platforms used by the department and academic departments (campus and/or College-wide) including software updates, troubleshooting, and keeping abreast of technological needs
Assists the Director with the development, implementation, integrity, and security of College-wide and campus-based testing and assessment services
Ensures that testing and assessment support work is performed efficiently and in compliance with State and Federal regulations and College policies
Coordinates all aspects of the Department’s internal and external test schedule, including assignments of personnel
Guides part-time personnel and assists with the training and professional development of campus/district staff and College constituents
Maintains and assists the director(s) in using comprehensive databases, testing platforms, files and data related to testing and assessment, and users’ access for testing programs
Works with high school feeder schools and other external agencies to provide testing and assessment services to potential students and candidates
Prepares budget projections, administers and assists the director with budgets, and grants
Inputs academic, career and vocational test scores into the College’s record keeping system
Assists with the development of marketing strategies to showcase our services and maximize revenue-generating opportunities
Serves on campus and college committees and as a liaison with other departments

Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and one (1) year related experience or Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and five (5) years related experience All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures Knowledge in budget preparation and testing revenue generate initiatives Knowledge of test administration and test security policy and procedures Knowledge of the College’s student record keeping system and testing software Knowledge of computer applications and computer networks Knowledge of marketing strategies, processes, and available resources Ability to analyze data and prepare reports Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, costumers and the public Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism Attentive to detail and able to handle multiple priorities Ability to work in a student/customer oriented environment and bridge technical skills across a variety of platforms and frameworks Ability to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, and weekend assignments Ability to work well with students, faculty and staff
