Owns quality process and plans development and standardization for product line programmatic jobs. Support development and design of quality inspection tools and systems for optimized yield, improved line throughput and customer performance. Develop detailed technical specifications for new inspection and test tools/equipment. Develop standards for optimized workflow, traceability and error proofing. Support sites with programmatic job launch and process validation. Work with design engineering to help incorporate design for quality elements into product development. Provide training, guidance and technical support to site quality personnel which may include quality engineers, technicians, supervisors and line operators. Support Lean, Six Sigma, and Pro Launch through the creation of Standard Work, Design of Experiments, Control Plans and SPC for production lines. Work with industrialization team to introduce error proofing into manufacturing processes. Support EQS initiatives with particular focus on PFMEA and Control plans. Support development of standard work and work center instructions for all related programmatic processes. Becomes the product line programmatic quality subject matter expert helping build capabilities across sites. Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. Minimum of 3 years' experience in quality, manufacturing engineering and/or operations. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution. Six Sigma or Lean certifications Experience in quality systems and control plan development and implementation. Background in assembly processes, testing and on-line inspection methodologies. Strong background in complex assemblies, process development and inspection equipment selection. Proficient in PFMEA, process control, 8D and root cause analysis tools and methods. Desirable experience with metal transformation processes. Application of Six Sigma methodology for problem solving and resolution management. Experience with customer and supplier quality interaction. Problem solving Ability to lead projects across multiple locations. Influential skills and change management. Able to teach, coach and mentor on process. Effective communication with customers, suppliers and key stakeholders.
