About The Role
The Test Plan and Validation Manager is accountable for the complete testing strategy and execution for all components, module, core and full-engine tests, including development, certification and flight testing. The role participates to the Verification and Validation strategy of the turbofan and ensure all tests to support technical maturity, safety, reliability and certification compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Taking into account customer requirements, define and lead the overall and appropriate test strategy for the turbofan development program, including selection and capability analysis of test means and related company. Oversee the planning and execution of all test campaigns (component and rig testing, module and core engine performance tests, FETT, Altitude Test, certification tests…) including instrumentation plans for data acquisition and selection of sensors Oversee engine test cells, ground test infrastructure and propose adaptation when needed Validate data-processing methodologies and approve test reports used for design/performance/certification validation while ensuring traceability and consistency with SEMP, V&V plan and compliance matrix Ensure alignment between Testing, Systems Engineering, Product Engineering, Airworthiness and Manufacturing. Provide technical support and troubleshooting throughout test campaigns. Set priorities for test assets, schedules and budgets in coordination with Product Management and Turbofan Plan Represent the Test function in front of Platform, OEM and key stakeholders
Ensure compliance for test operations: Safety, Risk assessment, readiness reviews Build and manage a multidisciplinary test organization (test benches, instrumentation, tooling) Mentor, coach, and develop the test team, promoting continuous improvement and alignment with company standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in engine testing within turbofan propulsion, or other similar complex engineered systems Experience with civil and/or military certification frameworks (EASA, FAA, EMAR) Demonstrated leadership in managing large test campaigns (FETT, endurance, certification) Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
