Salary: $35 - $50 / hour
Role & seniority: Quality Engineer (Level 1 – Senior QE range); mid to senior individual contributor in quality assurance for aerospace parts.
Stack/tools: AS9100 / AS9102 standards; GD&T interpretation; engineering drawings/specs; MRP/ERP system usage; MS Office; audit programs; familiarity with Catia/Enovia; RCCA tools (5 Why, Fishbone).
Ensure product conformance to customer/industry requirements; lead/train other QE staff.
Perform internal audits, review manufacturing plans, CIRs/CRRs, and prepare First Article Inspection Reports.
Interface with customers/suppliers, drive corrective actions, disposition nonconforming product, and support continuous improvement.
Leadership and training ability; attention to detail; strong verbal/written communication.
Customer focus, organization, teamwork, and accountability.
Proficiency with GD&T, reading engineering drawings, and internal auditing experience.
Aerospace quality experience or related degree plus QA proficiency; MS Office literacy.
5+ years QA in aerospace (or 10 years QA with relevant experience); RCCA methodology familiarity.
Experience with ERP/Business systems, CAD (Catia/Enovia); hands-on inspection of structural aircraft parts.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or engineering degree.

We are a manufacturer of structural parts for the leading original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) in the large business and regional jet markets. Our experience and capabilities span multiple segments of an aircraft, including the engine pylon, struts, wing box, wings, wheel well, and the interior. Our success is based on utilizing proprietary manufacturing techniques to manufacture high quality complex parts through cost effective production.

The Quality Engineer supports flow down of all customer and industry standard requirements and communicates that information to ensure that product meets contracted requirements. The Quality Engineer provides leadership and training for other Quality Engineers/Quality Administrators. The Quality Engineer may be required to interface with customers and suppliers and will be required to dress and act in a professional manner appropriate with these business dealings as a representative of AMT.
