Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled QA Manager/Supervisor to lead and oversee our plant Quality Management System (QMS) for suspension arm and air spring products. This role ensures full compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements, driving continuous improvement in product quality, process reliability, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the plant QMS in compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements. Manage quality assurance activities for suspension arm and air spring product lines, ensuring adherence to industry standards and customer expectations. Oversee Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), including PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and PPAP approvals. Plan and conduct internal, customer, and third-party audits; track and close findings while driving system improvements. Facilitate structured problem-solving for customer complaints and internal non-conformances using 8D, 5Why, and Fishbone methodologies. Monitor and analyze key quality metrics, including PPM, Scrap Rate, First Time Quality (FTQ), and Warranty Returns, and implement improvement actions. Coordinate supplier quality activities with Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE), including audits, development, and performance monitoring. Lead quality improvement projects to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and enhance process excellence. Prepare and present quality performance reports to management and customers, communicating status, risks, and initiatives clearly. Foster a culture of quality, teamwork, and accountability across QA engineers and cross-functional teams. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or related technical field. Extensive knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC). Proven leadership experience managing QA engineers or quality teams in an automotive manufacturing environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in root cause analysis (8D, 5Why, Fishbone, etc.). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree or professional certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQA, Six Sigma). Experience with customer and third-party audits in the automotive sector. Familiarity with suspension and air spring manufacturing processes. Proficiency with quality management software and data analysis tools.
