The Senior Quality Engineer will take a role in ensuring all products and processes meet stringent quality standards. This highly experienced position involves advanced problem-solving, strategic planning, and overseeing quality improvement initiatives. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber. Responsibilities: Lead strategic quality initiatives and projects to enhance product quality. Solve complex quality issues using advanced analytical techniques. Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and standards. Identify and implement quality improvement opportunities. Mentor and train junior quality engineers and other staff. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into all processes. Oversee supplier quality assurance programs and audits. Act as a point of contact for quality-related customer inquiries and issues. Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. 8+ Years experience as a Quality Engineer or in a related field. Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 12 years of related experience is required. Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience. Considerable knowledge of Quality System requirements and contract quality requirements. Extensive experience in manufacturing and inspection. Advanced ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures. Advanced knowledge of ISO9001, AS9001 standards. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Black Belt. Strong leadership and strategic planning skills. Qualifications We Prefer: Experience in the aerospace and defense industry. Advanced degree in Engineering or related field. Essential Functions: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly. Requirement to be on feet for a significant portion of the work shift. Majority of work hours spent on a computer. Hand/finger dexterity for using testing and inspection tools. Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment. Occasional travel may be required for audits and supplier visits. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
