Job Description
The QA Lead for Retail will oversee the quality assurance of our diverse retail technology solutions, including Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, inventory management, customer relationship management (CRM) in-store applications, and retail specific integrations. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our retail environments, enhancing both customer and associate experiences.
Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies for various retail applications and systems, covering functional, integration, usability, and performance testing. Lead testing efforts for new retail software deployments, updates, and hardware integrations. Collaborate with retail operations, product management, and development teams to understand business processes and translate them into effective test cases. Manage defect lifecycle, ensuring timely reporting, triage, and resolution of issues. Ensure compliance with retail industry standards and internal operational guidelines. Provide leadership and mentorship to other QA engineers working on retail initiatives. Contribute to the continuous improvement of retail QA processes and methodologies.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience (10+ years) in Quality Assurance, with significant experience in retail technology. Hands-on experience with testing POS systems, inventory management, or other core retail applications. Understanding of retail operational workflows and associated business challenges. Experience with various testing methodologies (e.g., agile, waterfall) and test management tools. Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills, especially in cross-functional settings
