SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Systems Integration and Test Engineer.
Job Summary: This role will be supporting the Common Infrastructure System (CIS) team in the maintenance, integration, and testing of submarine combat systems and video distribution systems at our LMC Manassas, VA site. As a member of the SWFTS team, you will work in an Agile environment focused on continuous integration and development of hardware and software.
Interface with customers for technical collaboration and system integration efforts. Foster a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders. Perform test and evaluation efforts in support of system level testing. Develop and maintain test documentation and procedures. Troubleshoot hardware and software related bugs. Verify and Validate bug resolution. Manage hardware and software configurations. Install and maintain hardware and software.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline required. Advanced submarine technical training (e.g. Navy “A” or “C” School) can be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Experience with Agile and DevOps practices. Experience with working on teams in a geographically dispersed and virtual environment. Familiarity with Linux command line. Familiarity with computer system and switch architecture. Ability to work independently and in a team dynamic with a self-starter mindset. Ability to conduct troubleshooting and testing with procedures. Ability to support traveling to pier-side events to support navy submarine testing. Excellent communications skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Critical thinker with a continuous learning mindset. Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
